When a property developer bought the old Job Centre at 2-4 Mill Street in Luton, they had ambitious plans. Transform this tired government building into an 87-bedroom hotel. But converting a 1970s Job Centre into a modern hotel isn't straightforward. The building regulations requirements alone were complex enough to stop most projects before they started.

AC Design Solution was brought in to handle the building regulations drawings and civil engineering design. We didn't lead the planning application, but we provided crucial technical support. Our job was to make sure this conversion met every Building Control requirement while solving some serious structural and drainage challenges...
